Blue flag and 5 Sails 2020: the most important and awaited awards of the summer that decree the cleanest beaches and waters to spend days in safety and in full respect of the environment are not long in coming.
The locations that receive them stand out from the others for the quality of the water, for the information and environmental education activities provided to operators and citizens, for the environmental management of the beaches which includes cleaning and services on them and, finally, for security.
Here are the beaches that have been awarded the blue flag 2020:
 
Province of Bari:
Polignano a mare: Cala Paura, San Vito, Cala San Giovanni, Ripagnola / Coco village, Cala Fetente
 
Province of Bat:
Margherita di Savoia: urban center, Cannafesca
 
Province of Brindisi:
Ostuni: Pilone, Lido Morelli, Rosamarina, Lido Fontanelle, Creta Rossa
Carovigno: Mezzaluna, Pantanagianni, Punta penna grossa, Torre Guaceto
Fasano: Egnazia Canne Bianche, Savelletri, Torre canne
 
Province of Foggia:
Peschici: Sfinale, Gusmay, Calalunga Bay, Monaccora Bay, San Nicola Bay, Procinisco, Peschici Bay
Zapponeta: Lido
Tremiti Islands: Cala delle Arene
 
Province of Lecce:
Castro: La sporgente, Zinzulusa

Legambiente's sails bring Puglia to the podium in second place (on an equal footing with Tuscany), immediately after Sardinia.
 
5 sails are recognized in: Fasano, Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Carovigno, Nardò, Porto Cesareo, Racale, Gallipoli, Otranto, Vernole and Melendugno
 
4 sails were given to: Lesina, Vieste, Chieuti, Peschici, Mattinata, Ischitella, Tremiti Islands, Rodi Garganico, Vico del Gargano, Sannicandro Garganico, Monte Sant'Angelo, Diso, Castro, Andrano, Tricase, Santa Cesarea Terme, Pulsano , Manduria and Maruggio.
 
And finally, but not of marginal success, are the 3 sails obtained from: Patù, Salve, Ugento, Gagliano del Capo, Castrignano del Capo, Ginosa, Castellaneta, Trani, Barletta, Bisceglie and Margherita di Savoia
