From here our tour will begin by discovering the Roman and Renaissance traces of the city, visiting the Roman bridge in Lama Monachile and the Marchesale Arch, through which we pass to enter the old city. From there we go on towards the Purgatory Church (external) and the first terrace overlooking the sea. This is followed by the Mother Church of Santa Maria Assunta (external) and Santo Stefano Chapel.
What to see in Polignano a mare in one day
The appointment with the guide is in front of the statue of Domenico Modugno on the seafront of Polignano, where you will have no problem finding a paid parking space.
From the "Volare" staircase, you will admire the city from another perspective, then the statue of Domenico Modugno, the Roman Bridge, the Marchesale Arch, the external and internal church of Purgatory, the terraces and the Mother Church.
Then you will take a walk along Via La Muraglia, which incorporates the old city walls and find yourself in front of the arch. Then, is the time that we go and enjoy the famous special coffee.
How long does it take to visit Polignano a Mare?
The duration of the guided tour of Polignano a Mare is 1 hour and a half, but we are not always so fiscal with the time and it often happens that we linger longer on the various stages. In short, we are not tightly tied to time-frames, preferring that your visit is savoured without haste.
