Taste journey between Puglia & Basilicata
A Holiday package created in collaboration with the Slow Food Castel del Monte Association. The protagonists of this tour will be extra virgin olive oil, burrata cheese, wines and local cultures, taralli and baked goods, spices from the Murgia, fruit and vegetables but also the "local people" and the "sites and places".
⇒ YOU WILL ENJOY: Walking through vineyards and olive groves and meet local producers who will tell you their stories. They will introduce you to the typical products of this marvellous territory, so rich and varied. You will taste the delicacies of our master cheese makers. We will talk about blue fish and raw fish with the owners of small-scale fishing. You will get to know the "fragrance" of Apulian bakeries and oven products, the goodness of chocolate and sugared almonds. Members of the slow food association (including us!) will be an active part of this journey, telling you their stories and traditions. You will learn how to prepare and taste thanks to the workshops we have prepared for you. You will get to know our farmer-restaurateurs and their vegetable gardens, which have set a fine example here. We will dine and have lunch in the osterias mentioned in the Slow Guides.
